Stakeholder Engagement

Relationship with Suppliers

GRI 308-1, 414-1, 414-2

Ethics, transparency, and responsibility are the pillars of the relationship with suppliers. We constantly seek to establish long-term partnerships and carry out periodic visits to strengthen our value chain.

Centrally structured, the Procurement area ensures that all ethical and socio-environmental criteria are observed and followed when contracting and/or procurement materials and services, respecting our stakeholder relationship policy. Our Code of Conduct is the guiding document for the relationship with these partners, which must be signed to prove their commitment and agreement with the defined terms.

In 2022, we consolidated 13 partnerships which, given price fluctuations in the supply market, allowed us to maintain projected cost estimates for the works and negotiate previously projected unit values.

We implemented the Procurement Platform digitally and expanded our base of approved suppliers. In 2022, approvals were made for 135 new suppliers of materials and services, compared to 99 in 2021. The platform will reinforce our governance in corporate management, by allowing the evaluation of the entire contracting stage of services and materials.

We visit material suppliers in glass, steel, and sanitary appliances, among others, to strengthen our relationship with this value chain. In the services area, we consolidated our partnership with two structure suppliers and approved four new critical service suppliers.

In all material deliveries, 100% of suppliers are evaluated according to Occupational Safety and environmental and social issues (ESG) criteria, including unloading procedures, quality, and deadlines. Thus, suppliers of controlled materials that affect the final product are evaluated by the construction team by completing a material receipt form. We verify the existence of certifications necessary to receive the materials and demand, for example, the presentation of the Forest Origin Document for native wood, the FSC certificate for doors, or the steel quality test certificate, among others.

E-Procurement

In 2022, we reviewed the policy for procedures related to suppliers and implemented the E-Procurement Digital Platform. The change made it possible to further align procedures with Even's perspectives and increase the already robust registration, tracking and relationship practices with suppliers.

With the new technology, we implemented better governance practices, which led us to increase and adjust our base, better interaction, more flexibility and agility in increments and changes, historical visualization, and process monitoring. We implemented a specific dashboard for evaluating suppliers within the tool used to check services, materials, and work monitoring. All these adjustments made it possible to focus more on the core of the business.

To consolidate the implementation of E-Procurement and given the extensive list of input companies with which we maintain commercial and service relationships, we decided to focus on the 20% that represent our most important and recurring suppliers to require them to revisit our terms and revalidate their signature on the Code of Conduct.
