Technology and Innovation

We have a strong culture of innovation, always attentive to technologies that can bring greater safety, efficiency, comfort and agility in the civil construction area, especially in the current moment, when the concept of living well has expanded and now includes a home office. In the post-pandemic era, real estate has also become a business and service platform, a condition that provides countless opportunities to design spaces with differentials that meet the real needs of the new times and delight customers.

To accompany this evolution, we have the New Technologies cell, allocated in the Technical Assistance area. All areas can send demands to the New Technologies team – innovation hub –, which is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of materials, processes and systems, legal compliance, contribution to sustainability, alignment with our quality standards and ability to increase productivity, reduce costs and satisfy the customer, among other topics.

The adoption of technologies, in the case of new materials, follows a strict evaluation and approval process to ensure the quality and safety of the product. The material undergoes pre-approval by specialists, goes to the Operations Committee, which analyzes the technical feasibility of the product and is forwarded to the engineering department of the work, which will define standards of use and approve its use in all works in progress.

In 2022, more than 30 subjects were under study and/or development (when prototypes are required). By the end of the year, 11 studies related to products or resources in different segments had been started and concluded with the due approvals:

The combination of new technologies led to the creation of Smart Sites, a network that connects the portals and has the function of facilitating the management of works. The structure provides increased productivity and operational efficiency. The following tools are part of this network:

Responsible for consolidating all portals, services and tools available for managing the work. In this environment, the maintenance of guidelines, standardization of processes and mechanisms to spread Even's culture are also carried out. The main KPIs of the organization, the Works Technical Performance Program (PDTO), are also on the portal, besides being the access channel to the processes of all areas of work support.

In this space, approvals, contracting and assessments of suppliers are carried out, which allows for greater governance for Even, traceability and management of each stage of the process, besides allowing approvals according to levels of responsibility.

The basis/intelligence of the Technical Area Portal is Microsoft Power BI, a tool through which we carry out strategic management, with a broad view of all construction sites, which facilitates decision-making. With this digital resource, we achieve more accurate and targeted analysis, through filters and grouping of data from different areas on a single platform.

Efficient digital means of managing all documents from third-party companies and their employees. Allows the release of employees with all documentation regularized and checked; performance monitoring, ensuring respect for employees' labor rights and centralized management of access control to all construction sites, besides the management and reduction of labor liabilities.

Tool used to check the status of employees registered on the electronic platform GDFOR (Supplier Document Management), capable of recognizing up to 50,000 faces. Implemented in 100% of our works, the equipment takes seven to ten seconds to register the biometric, has an anti-fraud system and allows recognition even with a mask and glasses.

Allows online scheduling, control and release of equipment and living areas. It also performs work safety audits (automated checklist).

System developed internally to centralize sustainability data, standardize indicators in all works and monitor monthly data collection, evolution and signaling of pending issues, along with critical analysis of data.

Platform for monitoring the Quality Management System, with specific forms and dashboards for real-time information control. It allows a checklist for the start of work, receipt of land, service verification form, floor leveling analysis, technological control of the fences, concrete, tests, inspection of units, tracking and mapping of works, etc.

Digital information modeling tool, used in Civil Construction to develop our projects. Enables the compatibility of projects, training areas and works, use of augmented reality to facilitate the conference and visualization on site. At the moment, we are making progress in improving the use of the platform for budgets and construction planning.

We use QR CODE as a low-cost method with a positive impact for viewing projects on site. The initiative facilitates the reduction of paper printing, elimination of the risk of using obsolete projects, facilitated access to guidelines and detailed booklet of the many areas of the company.

We have the support of a portal for handling invoices: confirmation of receipt and filing, discharge and withdrawals. Electronic Document Management streamlines the process, eliminates travel with consequent carbon emissions, besides the obsolete need to print a physical document.

To ensure fast and personalized service, our Customer Portal app was remodeled in 2022 and now has a friendlier and easier-to-operate interface. The Portal encompasses several functionalities, which allows improving the relationship with the customer.

Bitcoin

In 2022, we entered into a partnership with the Mercado Bitcoin investment platform, a technological resource that allows transactions in virtual currency. The initiative intended to create one more channel to facilitate transactions with customers, besides being prepared for an eventual future movement.
